LTER Information for Researchers

The SGS LTER project is a collaborative effort involving researchers from across the country and around the world. We welcome inquiries about additional research projects. Information about our current and past research projects can be found through the Research, Data and Publications sections on this web site. The website for the Central Plains Experimental Range (CPER) contains an extensive library of historical and current research and an on-line form to submit if you are interested in initiating a new experiment on the CPER.

If you considering working on the Pawnee National Grassland, you must contact the Forest Service:

A description of our facilities is available in the About SGS-LTER, Facilities and Field Site Section of this web site. Procedures for visiting or working at the Shortgrass Steppe CPER are as follows:

Since the CPER is a federal property we must comply with the Homeland Security requirements for workers on the site.

Note: If you are NOT a US Citizen, please read "ARS regulations for all non-US citizens visiting or working at the CPER"

You may also download our SGS-LTER Manual for more information as a PDF file for researchers and visitors.
